Queen of Shadows - Dianne Sylvan
Good story if a bit predictable. I could see most of the events unfold way before they actually did and the foreshadowing was a bit clumsy. Also, just for a change can we not have the protagonist stay away from his mate 'for her own good, so she can lead a normal life'?! Ugh..hello, shades of Twilight. I do give kudos to Miranda for getting her life together and learning to protect herself as well as the matter of fact way the author handles all types of sexual preferences. Anyway, seeing as the next book looks to be all angsty and heart rending, I may come back to book 2 at another time.
